1. Who We Are
AutoVidGen ("AutoVid", "we", "us", or "our") operates an AI-powered video generation platform accessible at this domain. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed version of your password (we never store plain-text passwords). If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID and email address.
2.2 Content You Create
We store the prompts, scripts, generated video metadata, and scene descriptions associated with videos you create. Generated image and video files are stored on our servers for as long as your account is active.
2.3 Social Platform Tokens
When you connect YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens in our database using AES-256-GCM encryption. We use these tokens only to publish content you explicitly approve. We never post on your behalf without your authorization.
2.4 Personal Data We Collect
In addition to the account details above, we may collect and process the following personal data about you:
- Identity & contact data — username, email address, and (for OAuth sign-in) your Google account ID and email
- Authentication data — hashed password, session/refresh tokens, and login timestamps
- Connected-channel data — the social account names and IDs of the YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram channels you link, and encrypted OAuth tokens
- Content data — the prompts (including custom prompts), scripts, scene descriptions, and video metadata you generate
- Billing data — your plan, series subscriptions, credit balance, and transaction history
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from your IP
2.5 Usage, Analytics & the Facebook Pixel
We automatically collect usage data — the pages you visit on the platform, the actions you take (e.g. video created, series launched, login), referral source, and timestamps — to understand how our product is used, measure performance, and improve the Service.
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our marketing and product pages. The Pixel sets cookies and sends Meta information about the pages you view and certain actions you take, so we can measure the effectiveness of our advertising, build audiences, and compile aggregate statistics about how visitors use the platform. This data is processed by Meta under its own privacy policy. You can limit this tracking through your browser settings, ad preferences, or by using tools such as Meta's off-Facebook activity controls.
2.6 Payment Information
Payments are handled by PayPal, our third-party payment processor. PayPal handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy; we never store full card numbers on our servers and receive only a transaction or subscription identifier and its status.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the AutoVidGen service
- To authenticate your identity and maintain session security
- To generate videos, scripts, and narration based on your prompts
- To publish content to connected social platforms on your instruction
- To send transactional emails (email verification, account notices)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not share it with any third party for their own purposes. The only parties that receive your content are the AI providers strictly necessary to generate your videos (see Section 6) and the social platforms you explicitly choose to publish to. We never hand your data to anyone else, and we do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), where our application, renderer, and PostgreSQL database run on a dedicated server. Video and image files are stored on that server's disk. We implement the following security controls:
- Passwords hashed with PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations, SHA-256)
- JWT-based sessions with short-lived access tokens (15 minutes)
- Refresh token rotation — tokens are single-use and revoked on logout
- OAuth tokens encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- HTTPS enforced on all connections (HSTS enabled)
- Rate limiting on all authentication endpoints
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g. transaction records, which may be retained for up to 7 years).
Generated video files are retained until you delete them or close your account. Large video files may be automatically purged after 90 days of inactivity to manage storage costs; you will be notified before this occurs.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services in the course of providing AutoVidGen:
- OpenAI — script generation, voice narration, image generation, and subtitle sync
- xAI (Grok) — alternative image generation
- Atlas Cloud AI / Kling — AI video clip generation
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — hosting of our application, database, and media files
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — advertising measurement and aggregate usage analytics
- PayPal — subscription and credit payments
- Google, TikTok, Meta — OAuth authentication and content publishing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
Prompts and content you generate are sent to the AI providers above solely to produce your videos. Aside from these providers and the social platforms you choose to publish to, your data is not disclosed to any third party.
Each third-party provider has its own privacy policy. When you use connected social accounts, those platforms' terms also apply to your content.
6.1 YouTube API Services
AutoVidGen uses YouTube API Services to let you connect your YouTube channel and upload videos you create on our platform, both short-form clips and long-form videos up to 15 minutes. When you connect YouTube, we request access to upload videos on your behalf and to read basic information about your channel (such as your channel name and ID), and we store the resulting OAuth tokens encrypted at rest. We use this access only to perform actions you explicitly request.
- By using these features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Your use of data accessed through the YouTube API Services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
- You can revoke AutoVidGen's access to your YouTube data at any time via the Google security settings page, or by disconnecting the channel in your AutoVidGen settings. On revocation we stop using and delete the stored tokens for that channel.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@autovidgen.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use functional cookies necessary to operate the service (session tokens stored as httpOnly cookies). We also use analytics and advertising cookies set by the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure advertising performance and compile aggregate statistics about how visitors use the platform (see Section 2.5).
Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent for non-essential cookies and honor your choices. You can also control cookies through your browser settings and through Meta's ad-preference and off-Facebook activity tools. Disabling non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use the core Service.
9. Children's Privacy
AutoVidGen is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal data, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
